A pleasant stay close to RCH

Very pleasant stay in the whole. We booked a room given its proximity to the Royal Children's hospital for our child's hospital stay. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Bed was comfortable! Minor quibbles include the room temperature upon arrival. It was about 26 degrees and temp control took a long time to adjust back down. The shower had a few issues while I was in it. On the whole mostly fine!

This is our second stay here because it has everything for a young family. Located right on the edge of the parklands, there is a playground for kids making them happy. Not only that it's situated walking distance from the city or if needed a trams stop is just meters away. Having an onsite restaurant is helpful but if you cut through the Uni campus you come right out on Lygon Street for all the best pizza, pasta and gelato Melbourne has to offer. Plus, the zoo only a short walk away too. Room are spacious and extremely comfortable. Staff very helpful too. We have now been on the 4th floor twice overlooking the park, which is great on Saturday morning when you wake up and see hot air balloons gliding over towards Carlton. Accessible from the airport by a quick Uber. The North Melbourne neighbourhood the hotel is situated in feels family friendly and welcoming.

Being next to a hospital I should have expected sirens all night, but I thought the rooms would be sound proofed - I was wrong. Otherwise the room and bed was comfortable. The snack bar was very expensive which was a shame ($5 for a cherry ripe) but the supermarkets were within easy walking distance. Close to the CBD too.

Poor service. Not worth the money.

I'm sorry but I don't believe having to wash your mugs with a face washer in the bathroom is acceptable. Then having to ask for milk and tea bags to see you through for the next morning.nWe were out all day. Returned late afternoon and the room still wasn't made up. When the cleaner ( next door) saw us come back she said they were busy and short staffed! I have been an All Accor member but with the price this is poor and I wouldn't stay again.

Comfortable stay

We were guests of the day so our room was upgraded to a park view which was nice. The bed was amazing as always. Our room was clean and comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly. We were even given a little chocolate treat and complimentary drinks which made our day.
